First Aid for rising energy bills

Utility Bidder is offering its First Aid service to help businesses find the most competitive energy deals on the market. The company specialises in researching the market and negotiating on behalf of hotels, restaurants and bars, and offers a guaranteed saving of £999 on business utilities when three are moved using their service, subject to conditions.

Utility Bidder says that energy prices have risen eight times the rate of inflation in the last few years, with fuel costs expected to inflate dramatically by 2021. “With the rapid increases in the cost of business energy, we know how hard it can be to balance the costs of running a business with your profits,” said company director James Longley. “By offering advice about usage and the current energy market we will assist you in reducing the cost of your utilities.”

The First Aid service covers gas, electricity, telecoms and merchant services for all businesses, with a particular focus on working directly with suppliers.

Some of the company’s top tips for leisure companies to get the best energy deal include: checking contract end dates and reviewing options rather than being rolled on to inflated out of contract rates; checking renewal prices, which might be more expensive; and choosing energy contracts that reflect the individual needs of a particular business.
